Carlos Figueroa Bits and Spurs Value Guide

Carlos Figueroa

Born:1870s Died:1956 Maker's Mark:
Unmarked

Carlos Figueroa moved from Mexico to Los Angeles in 1901 and worked as a bit and spur maker. He moved to the US with his brother Jose and while they both were active in making bits and spurs they did not work together for much of their careers. There are no known examples of bits or spurs with a Carlos Figueroa maker’s mark. Carlos owned his own shop and employed several other craftsmen to help him produce his items which he probably sold through saddlery companies and catalogs.
